One of the former presidents of the United States made the statement, “Oppression is the seed-bed of a revolution.” The further I go the more I realize that fundamental life-change is the dream of our God, yet so many approach it as a mere fantasy. But over time I see the oppressive characteristics of simply staying the same and notice a growing passion in people for a true transformation…for a revolution!
Every year at the beginning of the year we have impetus to make resolutions. For most of us they don’t seem to last. Others, who would never make so outlandish resolution, hope that one day their lives will be fulfilling and satisfying in every way.
At our church we started a series called “Revolution 2010” where we are investigating the plausibility of replacing old familiar and draining emotions with energizing ones. Is it possible to change behavior, break long habits, overcome addictions and even have thriving desires for God?
I have heard years of preaching about putting your flesh to death. I have heard the importance of “sin not.” Preachers, me included have exhorted folks to just “admit it and quit it!” For me personally, to live a victorious life inside and out has had simple, but much deeper roots than those heralders led us to believe.
This isn’t just a hit from another hyper infomercial brought by your favorite motivational speaker or preacher. I genuinely believe, and have passionate conviction, that anyone who will join us for the next 8 weeks, who will apply the exercises we suggest, will experience dramatic changes in their lives, marriages, parenting, professionally, and spiritually!
Before you commit to the 8-week challenge, you might want to check out the first teaching on the topic via video, audio or teaching script. Isn’t it time you joined a revolution?

Are you skeptical? Have you heard promises of life-change but couldn’t seem to get it to stick for you? Have you had the other side of the continuum and great success in living a fulfilling, power-filled life? What is your story?

Too long!
Ya, I know. I'm a little old school and felt the notes were too important to leave out. Be praying with me for an editor who gets this whole blog thing and can help us give shorter copy with impact. Thanks for reading the blog!
